Robert C Kingston (Temporary Advisory Board of Director)
I have worked with Cambodian NGOs since 2010, both in Phnom Penh and rural areas, helping to provide
education and to reduce poverty. I have also worked as an English teacher and social worker at a Buddhist monk run project in the slums of Steung Meanchey. I was on the Board of Governors of the CCAF (NGO) as Vice President ensuring good operational, financial and governance conduct. Such roles have also given me experience in grant writing, project reporting and donor feedback.
I also have 35 years experience in the UK insurance market and seek to use the transferable skills I have acquired to the benefit of NGOs in Cambodia. I am passionate about life and culture in Cambodia and hope to add value to the DSO and other organizations I continue to support.
Lora Bennett (Temporary Advisory Board of Director)
I first started working with Cambodian NGOs in 2011 and met Vannak around the same time.
In 2016 the NGO shelter myself and Vannak had been working with closed its doors, shortly after Vannak contacted me with the proposition of DSO, to continue supporting children dropped by the closed NGO shelter as well as other disadvantaged children through education.
I am British but current living in Germany working in IT. I hope to apply my technological skills to DSO and help provide technical support and solutions to the organization whilst promoting DSO across the UK and Europe.
I am proud and privileged to be a part of DSO knowing the life changing work that the team is doing will make for a better future for the people of Cambodia.
